Fuel Tracker – Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 2026

Fuel Tracker (“the App”) is designed to help users record vehicle mileage, fuel purchases, and fuel costs. I respect your privacy and am committed to being transparent about the limited data the App handles.

1. Information the App Collects

Fuel Tracker does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information such as your name, email address, phone number, location, contacts, or identifiers.

The only data the App handles is:

  • Mileage entries
  • Fuel purchase amounts and costs
  • Optional notes you add to each entry

This data stays on your device unless you choose to back it up.

2. Optional Google Drive Backup

Fuel Tracker offers an optional backup feature using Google Drive.
If you enable this feature:

  • The App stores your mileage and fuel‑related data in a private app folder within your Google Drive.
  • The App does not access any other files in your Google Drive.
  • Google may collect metadata required for Drive functionality (e.g., your Google account ID), governed by Google’s own privacy policy.

You may disable or delete backups at any time through your Google Drive account.

3. How Your Data Is Used

Your data is used only to:

  • Display your mileage and fuel logs
  • Calculate fuel efficiency
  • Restore your data if you choose to use Google Drive backup

Fuel Tracker does not:

  • Sell your data
  • Share your data with third parties
  • Use analytics, advertising, or tracking tools
  • Collect location data
  • Collect device identifiers

4. Data Security

All data stored on your device remains local.
Google Drive backups are protected by Google’s security and your Google account credentials.

5. Children’s Privacy

Fuel Tracker does not target children and does not collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13.

6. Changes to This Policy

If the privacy policy changes, the updated version will be posted within the App or on the app listing page.
